WHAT WE ARE
Mr. J's Music shop is a family-run mom and pop shop serving the musical needs of the Cape May area for over two decades. We specialize in lessons, instrument repair, and smaller musical items like strings, picks, sticks, cables, cleaning kits, straps, slides, tuners, reeds, valve oil, drumheads, music, stands, microphones, capos, metronomes, harmonicas, and more! Our location is just a block off the bay on Townbank Road, less than a mile from the Cape May Lewes Ferry.

WHO WE ARE
Mr. J began teaching Music at Lower Cape May Regional High School in 1977. He opened up Mr. J's Music Shop in 1987 selling a variety of guitars, keyboards, and other musical instruments. Retiring from teaching in 2007, Mr. J Downscaled the store and now displays much of his personal artwork, autographs, and synthesizers. He has a B.S. in Education and an M.A. in Music History. Be forewarned, he likes to tell a good story!

Mrs. J began teaching music in the Lower Cape May School District in 1993. She has taught individual lessons for over three decades and continues to instruct in piano, voice, and guitar. Still teaching at LCMR, Mrs. J enjoys kayaking, gardening, and collecting miniature pianos (whenever she has time!). Mrs. J has a B.M. in piano performance, and a minor in voice.
